Sho'Nuff BBQ

     Sho'Nuff BBQ was established in 1990 by owner Gerald Atchison. He decided he would buy a concession trailer and sell BBQ on highway 22 east beside his bait and tackle store in Alexander City, Alabama. Starting out with a simple menu consisting of BBQ plates, sandwiches, baked beans and cole slaw. Hoping the small business to do somewhat reasonable, he soon realized the demand was greater than he could supply. People loved his bbq and his secret sauce. After struggling for 5 years with his small accommodations he decided he had to find a larger place for his business. Finding the best location was the hard part, but he finally decided on 651 Alexander City Shopping Center.

 

     Sho'Nuff BBQ has been here for 11 years now, since 1995 with a very large menu with items like BBQ plates, Ribs, sandwiches,salads, the sho'nuff tater and homemade desserts, with in house seating for over 100 people. Now it is known as the '"Home of the Sho'Nuff Tater".

     Sho'Nuff BBQ was also rated in the Top 10 BBQ Restaurants in Alabama in the PBS documentary by Max Shores. But don't just take our word for it, Come on over to Sho'Nuff  ,we'll treat you like family.
